Whitney Dinnall is the founder of Black Mums Kent whose personal journey into motherhood inspired a powerful vision. After relocating to Kent and welcoming her daughter, she began to notice a significant lack of diversity amongst local mums groups. As a new mother navigating anxiety and longing for connection, she found herself searching for a space where she could be herself, share openly, and feel truly understood.
Motivated by her own challenges, she created Black Mums Kent to bridge that gap: a nurturing, inclusive community where Black mothers feel seen, heard, and represented. Her mission is to help mums reclaim their identity after motherhood, overcome isolation, and find belonging in their local area.
Her daughter is the driving force behind her work—the inspiration that fuels her purpose. Through Black Mums Kent, she is building a village where mothers support one another, and children grow surrounded by love, unity, and strength.
Over time, Black Mums Kent has made a meaningful difference in the lives of 420 women—creating space for healing, friendship, and transformation. It has sparked positive change across the community, empowering mums to embrace their journeys and reminding them that they are never alone.
Whitney believes deeply in the power of community and is committed to being part of something greater—uplifting others and creating lasting impact for generations to come.
